A couple years ago some clients were looking for a bedside table that would fit in a triangular space in the bedroom furniture arrangement they wanted. They asked me for an idea that fit with their art-filled home. Knowing their taste runs to colorful and fun art, I drew a sketch of my interpretation of a triangular table. They liked the concept and we decided on a combination of curly Maple (nearly white) top and shelf supported by a Paela (dark orange) leg system, so I went to work. Well, the construction was more complicated than the concept, but the piece turned out rather well, I think. My clients liked it well enough that at a gathering in their home a few weeks later, they moved it from the bedroom to the living room to show it off.
